Every type of waste, including organic materials, is meticulously sorted, recycled with organic waste repurposed to feed goats and hens at the farms at Cafe.

A small goat and hen farm has been established with the intention of obtaining farm-fresh eggs and meat, as well as utilizing organic waste from our café’s kitchen by feeding it to the animals. The farm's fertilizer is then utilized to cultivate organic vegetables. This sustainable practice helps in recycling waste, producing food, and creating a closed-loop system. It is a thoughtful and eco-friendly approach to farming.

An underground water tank at Knead Café in Balakot collects and stores rainwater for various uses, such as washing and gardening.
